​One Billion Rising – RVA is a rally to bring awareness to the horrific prevalence of violence against women.  Donations help pay the costs of holding the rally at the Richmond Coliseum. Additional funds raised will be given as a donation to the Virginia Sexual and Domestic Violence Action Alliance in support of their work in connecting survivors to services and resources. The Alliance is a coalition of over 70 sexual and domestic violence programs statewide serving victims in every county in Virginia

* FYI - The Indiegogo fundraising site is one of our tools for seeking donations to cover costs for the 2.14.13 rally and is only a partial goal to cover expenses.  On Indiegogo you are charged a higher fee if you don’t meet your fundraising goal – so we put a modest goal up on that site to assure we would meet it and not have to pay the higher fee.
